Yesterday we launched our new cause driven project titled “Fifty Causes” and this week GEMS will be featured on the site! We are so excited for this partnership and we hope that you will join the movement too! Check out this video and learn why GEMS (Girls Educational and Mentoring Services) is worthy of our first cause spot! To help support GEMS head over to the site: causes.reminderband.com and be sure to buy a wristband to support the cause.

For over seven years Reminderband has been focused on the touching messages and heart felt stories of our customers. We have sought to share them with the world in a way that creates awareness and encourages action.

This Tuesday we will launch our “Band Together” project. We have gathered many amazing charities, organizations and causes. Each Monday they will share their stories with you.

You will then have the opportunity to purchase a custom created wristband in support of the featured cause. Your contribution could save a child from sex trafficking, send a pair of shoes to someone in need or help end bullying.

The first cause we will sponsor is GEMS, Girls Education and Mentoring Services. Girls Educational & Mentoring Services (GEMS) is the only organization in New York State specifically designed to serve girls and young women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking. GEMS was founded in 1998 by Rachel Lloyd, a young woman who had been sexually exploited as a teenager. GEMS has helped hundreds of young women and girls, ages 12–24, who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking to exit the commercial sex industry and to develop to their full potential. GEMS provides young women with empathetic, consistent support and viable opportunities for positive change. Check out their site gems-girls.org for more information and watch for their launch on causes.reminderband.com on Tuesday, September 11th.

Stay tuned each week for a new cause; a new way to change the world.
