Here, at Reminderband, one of the questions we’re often asked (besides why our headquarters is located in Northern Utah, where the air hurts your face) is “What does debossed mean?” You may be reading this and wondering the same thing because, like a man at the hardware store, you didn’t want to ask for help. Well today, you’ve got it easy, because with the myriad of customization options we have on our site, making a decision can be a little overwhelming! We understand, and we’re here to help.

Reminderband offers three main imprint styles for our products:
- Debossed (indented)
- Embossed (raised)
- Printed (flat)
That means if you select a Classic or Contour band, which has a debossed imprint style, any text or artwork you select will be indented. If you like to live on the wild side you can add a color-fill to that imprint to give your wristband a glorious contrast so breathtaking, it’ll make people weep (ok, that may have been a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea).
Debossed bands come with the most bang for your buck, but if it’s multicolor imprints you’re after, you might consider doing a printed wristband (or “silkscreen”, as the cool kids sometimes call it) which allows us to get razor-sharp detail in your design for a crisp effect that engraving can’t achieve.
It really depends on your design, and what you plan on doing with your wristbands. We recommend testing all the options with our state-of-the-art builder and viewing this infographic to help you decide.
Good luck designing your wristbands!
