Valerie Scott is a non-smoker and she was diagnosed with phase 4 lung cancer. Scientists are saying radon could be the culprit.
Radon. A naturally-occurring gas that comes from the decay of uranium in soil and water. It seeps up through the ground and collects in buildings. You can’t see it, smell it or taste it so it’s impossible to know it’s there until you test for it.
The Environmental Protection Agency estimates it kills at least 20,000 people every year. That makes it the second leading cause of lung cancer after cigarettes — more dangerous than second-hand smoke. – Mike Headrick and Linda Williams. (KSL)
We have been touched by the honest story of a vibrant grandma longing to see her grandson grow up. We created glow-in-the-dark, leopard-printed wristbands and cancer bracelets that read “Lick it! Lung Cancer”, with hope that her family, friends and acquaintances will always be reminded of the battle Valerie is fighting.
